Brooklands was a huge motor racing track, near Weybridge in Surrey. It was in use from 1907 to 1939 and the ruins can still be seen. One of the most famous drivers was Kaye Don, regarded as a man of the people and less remote than some of the others. Don raced cars at Brooklands from 1920 to the early 30s and was associated with Kingston, Surbiton and Hampton Wick.
